I developed my Big Hairy Audacious Goal with a focus on bridging achievement gaps and leveraging adaptive technology to enhance resource room instruction, building on the foundation of my innovation plan. As I worked through this process, I intentionally integrated my learning philosophy with the creation of significant learning environments. Using Fink's Significant Learning Outcomes as a foundation, I developed this framework to help third-grade resource teachers seamlessly integrate technology with traditional teaching methods. My plan provides a structured approach to both teacher growth and student success, guaranteeing the lasting implementation of personalized, technology-enhanced learning platforms.

Students will acquire core reading comprehension strategies and foundational math operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. They will also learn key vocabulary and practice fluency in these areas to ensure confidence and mastery of grade-level TEKS standards. They will complete STAAR-aligned assessments and demonstrate their skills through quizzes, oral explanations, and performance tasks.

Students will apply their knowledge using a mix of digital platforms and traditional tools. They will work on real-world scenarios such as solving math word problems or using reading strategies across subjects. They will participate in hands-on projects, digital simulations, and real-world problem-solving activities.

Students will connect knowledge across subjects by applying reading strategies in social studies or using math in science projects. This interdisciplinary approach will enhance critical thinking. By working on cross-curricular projects and collaborative discussions that highlight the connections between subjects.

Through regular self-assessments, students will reflect on their progress, set learning goals, and advocate for their needs. These practices will help them build resilience and self-efficacy. Students can document their learning experiences, successes, and areas for improvement on a regular basis. This helps identify patterns and create new goals.

Personalized learning will empower students to take ownership of their education. They will have opportunities to choose their learning paths and set meaningful goals based on their interests and strengths. By incorporating student choice in projects, providing positive feedback, and creating a classroom environment that celebrates curiosity and exploration.

Students will develop skills in setting SMART goals, reflecting on learning strategies, and revising their approaches based on feedback. This will help them become lifelong learners. Through regular practice with self-assessments, peer feedback, and opportunities to try new learning strategies in a supportive environment.
